Oliver! Is Coming to Concord in April

Athens, W.Va. - Lionel Bart’s OLIVER!, the well-known musical, is coming to Concord College. Based on Charles Dicken’s novel, Oliver Twist, this award winning play is one that will capture the hearts of its audience. It is about the plight of a young workhouse boy, Oliver Twist, who is in search for a place to belong. Not only does young Oliver discover his family, he also discovers himself by the end of this incredible play. From the young to the old, this show is fun for the entire family. The show’s outstanding and unforgettable score includes Consider Yourself, Where Is Love? and As Long As He Needs Me.

The production has a wonderful and talented cast: D.S. Lile as Oliver; John Fredeking as the Artful Dodger; Kahlil Joseph as Fagan; Beth Sampson as Nancy; Aaron Brakefield as Bill Sykes; Matthew Campbell as Mr. Bumble; Widow Corney as Karen Atha; Bob Turnbull as Mr. Sowerberry and Sarah Lewis as Mrs. Sowerberry.

OLIVER! will run April 19, 20, 21 at 8:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for Senior Citizens, $2.00 for non-Concord students. There will also be a Sunday matinee on April 22 at 2:15 p.m. All proceeds from Sunday’s show will be donated to the Children’s Home Society/We Can Program. Ticket prices are $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for Senior Citizens, $2.00 for all students.
