Huffman Promoted to Director at Concord

Athens, W.Va. - James (Jim) Huffman was recently named director of admissions at Concord College. Huffman joined Concord’s admissions department in 1989 and received his master’s degree in guidance and counseling at the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies.

Vice President for Admissions and Financial Aid Michael Curry complimented him by stating that, “Jim Huffman has forgotten more about admissions than most of us will ever learn in our entire lives.”

“I have always enjoyed the student contact and particularly seeing students grow and graduate and go on and do great things. That’s the greatest pleasure I have from my job,” Huffman stated. “We have a wonderful opportunity to attract good quality students here. We have a great faculty and people care about people and that’s what makes it interesting. I enjoy the people, my co-workers, and particularly the students.”
