Public Invited to Forum at Concord: Americans’ Role in the World

Athens, W.Va. - As a nation, we face critical choices about the role of America—and Americans—in the world. Decisions we make now about national defense, global economic policy and international aid will have far-reaching consequences for us as a nation, as a state, and as individuals.

A community forum on Americans’ Role in the World will be held on Tuesday, February 25 at 3:30 p.m. in the Stateroom at Concord College. Forum participants will explore a variety of perspectives on the kind of global influence our nation should have and how America’s power and resources should be used.

This nonpartisan public forum is one of several forums being held on campuses around West Virginia as part of Raise Your Voice Week. West Virginia Campus Compact and the West Virginia Center for Civic Life are co-sponsoring this statewide initiative. The West Virginia forums are part of a network of National Issues Forums taking place across the country in 2003.

Area civic leaders have been invited to attend this forum.
