Manzo to Serve as President’s Assistant

Athens, W.Va. – A 25-year veteran of higher education will serve as administrative assistant to Concord University President Jerry Beasley. Sharon Manzo began her stint as administrative assistant on Tuesday, January 10.

"Sharon Manzo has devoted her entire 25-year career at Concord to serving our alumni and students, first as secretary in the Alumni Office and later as Assistant Director of Financial Aid. She's a tireless and cheerful worker whose devotion to Concord is readily evident to all who know her,” noted President Beasley. “I am deeply grateful that she has decided to serve the University in new ways. Hers is a challenging job, but I'm confident that she has the will and the ability to do it exceptionally well.”

Manzo earned a B.S. in sociology from Missouri State University and a M.Ed. from the College of Graduate Studies. She is married to Professor of Geography Joseph T. “Joe” Manzo. They have two grown children and live in Athens.
