Peace Vigil at Concord, Wednesday, October 10

Athens, W.Va. – Members of Black Student Union and the International Students’ Club are joining to sponsor a candlelight peace vigil on Wednesday, October 10 at 9 p.m. in front of the J. Frank Marsh Library. Remarks will be made by students and Dr. Jerry Beasley, president of the school.

Akeya Carter-Bozeman, president of Black Student Union will speak about the Jena six case which involved six black students in Jena, La.

Ashley Hicks will speak about injustices in Myanmar, formerly Burma.

The public is invited to attend.
