Quick Accepts Coaching Position With Toronto Argonauts

ATHENS, W.Va. - Greg Quick, Concord University interim vice president for advancement, has accepted a position as linebackers coach with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League.

The Argonauts made the announcement unveiling their 2010 coaching staff during a press conference in Toronto earlier today.

“I am very proud to be granted the opportunity to be a piece of the dynamic mosaic of the great city of Toronto and the proud tradition of the Argonauts Football Club,” Quick said. “I have been touched in a special way by the wonderful people of Concord University and Mercer County.  I will carry all your faces forward with me wherever life’s journey takes me.”   Quick is former director of athletics and head football coach for the Mountain Lions.  “Mr. Quick is a consummate professional,” Concord University President Gregory F. Aloia said. “He has shown the ability to motivate and lead whether in athletics or advancement. He has helped to move Concord to a different level in the areas of media, marketing and development.”

Quick will work for Concord University until April 15, 2010. He and his family will continue to reside in Princeton during the off-season.
