King James Bible Topic of Concord Symposium
ATHENS - A symposium commemorating the 400th anniversary of the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible will be held at Concord University Monday, May 2, 2011. The program begins at 4 p.m. at University Point.
Speakers will address the topic “Why is the KJV relevant today?” They include: Richard Hodges, senior minister, Athens Church of Christ; Carol Manzione, Ph.D., associate professor of history, Concord University; Gabriel Rieger, Ph.D., assistant professor of English, Concord University; and Thomas J. McKenna, Ph.D., assistant professor of history and philosophy, Concord University.
