Events Planned For Concord Alumni In Southern W.VA.

ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University Advancement Office is touring southern West Virginia in August to reconnect with alumni and friends. Four events are planned in four locations.

Advancement team members including newly appointed Alumni Director Sarah Lively Turner ’98 and Concord University President Gregory F. Aloia are among the CU delegation.

Lewisburg is the first stop on the tour. A social will be held on Friday, Aug. 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Bella Casa, 208 West Washington Street.

The team then heads to Beckley on Monday, Aug. 8 for a social at Calacino’s Pizzeria from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Calacino’s is located at 3611 Robert C. Byrd Drive.

It’s time for baseball on Thursday, Aug. 11 with an outing at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston to watch the West Virginia Power. The social begins at 6 p.m. and the game starts at 7 p.m. A picnic will be held through the 7th inning.

Baseball’s on the agenda again Thursday, Aug. 25 for CU Night with the P-Rays. The action starts with a social at 6 p.m. followed by the 7 p.m. game. A pre-game picnic is also part of the evening of fun at Hunnicutt Field in Princeton.
