ATHENS, W.Va. – The Saturday, Oct. 24 football contest between the Concord University Mountain Lions and the Shepherd Rams will be televised on WVVA-TV. Kickoff is noon at Callaghan Stadium on CU’s campus in Athens, W.Va.

WVVA General Manager Frank Brady and Concord University President Dr. Kendra Boggess signed an agreement on Aug. 24 to air three Concord home football games during the 2015 season. Along with Saturday’s match-up, the Sept. 12 game against Fairmont State and the Sept. 26 contest against West Virginia Wesleyan were part of the agreement.

“This continues to be a great opportunity and experience for Concord,” Athletic Director Kevin Garrett said. “I’m looking forward to watching the football program play a nationally-ranked Shepherd team. The fact that WVVA is broadcasting this game and has already done two other games this season is great exposure for Concord as a whole.”

A.J. Good, WVVA sports director, is offering the live play-by-play with former Concord assistant football coach Will King joining Good in the booth for color commentary.

WVVA-TV is the local NBC affiliate and the game can be seen on channel 6 on Comcast in Bluefield, W.Va., channel 6 on Suddenlink in Beckley, W.Va. and channel 5 on Suddenlink in Princeton, W.Va. The game can also be seen on
