STUDENT-PRODUCED MURDER MYSTERY
BEING PRESENTED AT CONCORD UNIVERSITY
ATHENS, W.Va. – Let the games begin! A Hollywood game show is the theme for a play presented by students in an introduction to theatre class at Concord University. But this is no ordinary game show, because the show will host an audience participation murder mystery.
“Win, Lose or Die,” the game-show themed play written by Concord Instructor of Communication Arts Karen Vuranch, will be presented in the Subway Sides area of the Jerry L. and Jean Beasley Student Center on Nov. 5, 2015. The event will be free and open to the public. Dessert will be served at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7 p.m.
Vuranch describes “Win, Lose or Die” as an audience-participation murder mystery. The production is a class project and features 24 students. Some of the actors include Maizy Landreth as Holly Wood, Dakota Miller as Helen Helpalot, Michal Foreman as Dudley Charge, Erica Garnes as Hanna Black, Kaitlyn Hubbard as Heidi Hotwire, Peggy Ballenge as Lucy Connection, Ali Fuda as Fushia Overload, and Brock Hess as Trip Breaker.
Vuranch also mentions a special guest cameo in the production by Concord University Vice President and Academic Dean Dr. Peter Viscusi.
