Self-Defense Class Being Held At Concord University

ATHENS, W.Va. – Students for Campus Safety Awareness at Concord University are sponsoring a self-defense class on Tuesday, March 8. The two hour class begins at 6 p.m. in the lobby of the North Tower residence hall. Chief Deputy Darrell Bailey will be presenting the class.

This event will offer the basics of self-defense and help attendees be better prepared should they need to defend themselves in a potentially dangerous situation. After Bailey’s presentation, participants will have the opportunity to practice escape moves. Attendees should dress appropriately for physical activity.

The class is open to the Concord University community and to the general public at no charge.
