ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University Office of Admissions and the Department of Music are hosting a Music Discover Day on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Alexander Fine Arts Center.

The Discover Day is open to high school seniors, juniors and sophomores that are interested in pursuing a career as a music educator or performer or are planning to pursue a general career in the performing arts.

The event allows participants to experience the campus and be a music student for a day. Students will have the opportunity to participate in rehearsals, observe a theory class, have a one-on-one lesson with a music faculty member and tour the campus. The day will highlight the Mountain Lion Pride Marching Band and Collegiate Singers. An Admissions and Financial Aid presentation will also be available for interested students and their families. Complimentary lunch will be provided.
