Spooktacular Event At Concord University Including Pumpkin Carving Contest

ATHENS, W.Va. – During Spooktacular, an event hosted by the Concord University Music Department, a Pumpkin Carving Contest will be included in the mix of activities. This will be the same day as Spooktacular on Oct. 28, 2016 in the Alexander Fine Arts Center on Concord’s Athens, W.Va. campus.

The carved pumpkins are to be due at 6 p.m. and delivered to the Concord University Fine Arts Box Office. They will then be displayed during the Spooktacular event where the judging will take place at 8 p.m. and prizes will be awarded for three categories which are scariest, most complex/creative, and prettiest.

There will be an adult division and a children’s division for children 12 and under.

A $2 entry fee will be charged for those who desire to enter and the contest is open to the public. Concord students, faculty, and staff, along with members of the community are invited to enter. For more information, contact boxoffice@concord.edu or call 304-384-5101.
