ATHENS, W.Va.  – Concord University student volunteers will help raise funds for scholarships and other campus projects during a phone-a-thon Nov. 14-17, 2016. The students will be making calls from University Point on the Athens campus from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. nightly.

“The Concord University Foundation continues to raise funds for student scholarships and our phone-a-thon is one way to get students involved in the process,” said Bren Yeager, Executive Director of the Concord University Foundation. “About 60 student volunteers will help this Nov. 14-17 by calling parents, alumni, donors and friends of Concord.”

Yeager said the students who will be placing the calls are participating to receive volunteer hours for a University 100 class.

“While this helps the Foundation by collecting money for scholarships, it is also a great opportunity for the students to practice communication skills and show their Mountain Lion pride,” she said.

For additional information on the phone-a-thon, please contact Bren Yeager at or 304-384-6056.
