CONCORD UNIVERSITY ACCEPTS HEALTHY CAMPUS CHALLENGE
ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University is among more than 350 campuses nationwide that have committed to the White House Healthy Campus Challenge.
Accepting the challenge entails a commitment to making campuses and communities healthier by encouraging uninsured individuals to enroll in health care coverage for 2017. Open enrollment for coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplaces established by the Affordable Care Act began Nov. 1, 2016 and ends on Jan. 31, 2017.
Concord is hosting an on-campus registration day for health care coverage through the Marketplaces on Thursday, Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Jerry & Jean Beasley Student Center, Ground Floor.
“This event is for students, community members, and employees who may not have health insurance through Concord’s PEIA,” said Dr. Marjie Flanigan, Vice President of Student Affairs and Dean of Students.
Representatives of WV NaviCare and the WV Primary Care Association will be on hand to assist attendees with enrollment.
