Athens, W.Va. – Representing the West Virginia Broadcasters Association Foundation, Mr. Frank Brady, general manager for WVVA Television in Bluefield, W.Va., presented a check for $1,500 to Concord University President, Dr. Jerry Beasley, and Videographer, Mr. William Bailey. The presentation was held Tuesday, May 8 at Concord University.

Mr. Bailey, who is a certified user of “FinalCut Pro,” highly specialized software used to edit broadcast-quality video, noted that the gift will be very beneficial. “We will either purchase a service contract for our consol or purchase additional equipment,” he noted.

The West Virginia Broadcasters Association was organized in 1946. The Association promotes the art and business of broadcasting, promotes cooperation and understanding among broadcasters, and encourages and promotes customs and practices that will be of interest to the public and broadcasting community.
