Entertainment Announced for Annual Athens-Concord Town Social

Athens, W.Va. – The “Midnight Ramblers” and “Poor Taters” will entertain guests at the annual Athens-Concord Town Social, to be held Sunday, August 9 on the front lawn of Concord University from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

As a special treat this year, Concord University student, Mr. Jesse Ratcliffe from Hinton, will be performing a recital on the Marsh Carillon from 1:50 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Mr. Joe Lively will again serve as emcee, and the Midnight Ramblers will perform from 2:10 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. with Poor Taters performing from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Awards will be announced between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Vendors are invited to set up a booth, free-of-charge, to display and sell their handicrafts.
