Concord University Hosting College Goal Sunday

ATHENS - Concord University is one of 18 locations across West Virginia hosting a College Goal SundaySM workshop on Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011. College Goal Sunday is an opportunity for students and families to receive free, confidential help completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

The event at Concord will be held on the ground floor of University Point on the Athens campus from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Anyone planning to attend college – regardless of age or income – can participate in the workshop which offers one-on-one help from financial aid professionals. Students already enrolled in college can also get assistance in completing the FAFSA at College Goal Sunday.

Pre-registration is encouraged but not required. Participants can pre-register for an appointment at
Students and families participating should bring their social security numbers and 2010 tax records. Those who have not yet completed their 2010 taxes can bring their 2009 forms. For a complete list of what to bring visit

Students who participate in College Goal Sunday will be entered for a chance to win an Apple iPad. Eighteen iPads are being given away – one per College Goal Sunday location.
