Concord University Foundation Offering NIP Tax Credits
CONCORD UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION OFFERING NIP TAX CREDITS
ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University Foundation, Inc. has West Virginia state tax credits available through the West Virginia Development Office Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP).
Tax credits are issued on donations to the Concord University Foundation. Donations of $500 or more are eligible for a 50 percent state tax credit. For example, a $1,000 donation would receive a $500 West Virginia state credit. Donations must be used for scholarships for economically disadvantaged students from Fayette, Mercer, Monroe, McDowell, Raleigh, Summers or Wyoming counties.
The Neighborhood Investment Program (NIP) was established by the West Virginia Legislature in 1996 to increase charitable giving to local non-profit organizations.
The Concord University Foundation was issued a limited number of tax credits. These are available on a first come, first served basis. For more information on receiving tax credits, contact the Foundation at (304) 384-6056.
