Constitution Day Symposium Scheduled At Concord University Sept. 17
CONSTITUTION DAY SYMPOSIUM SCHEDULED
AT CONCORD UNIVERSITY SEPT. 17
ATHENS, W.Va. - In observance of Constitution Day, Monday, Sept. 17, Concord University is hosting a social sciences symposium on “Teaching the Constitution.” The program will be held in Room 303 of the Rahall Technology Center from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The event features a panel discussion including Dr. William O’Brien, coordinator of the Center for Study of American Constitutionalism & Civic Responsibility; Dr. David Bard, emeritus professor of history; and Mercer County Board of Education member and former social studies teacher Paul Hodges. Dr. Sally Howard, associate professor of political science, and Dr. James White, professor of political science, will serve as moderators.
The public is invited to attend and there is no admission charge.
