Concord University Symphonic Band And Choir Performing In Combined Concert
CONCORD UNIVERSITY SYMPHONIC BAND AND CHOIR PERFORMING
IN COMBINED CONCERT
ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University’s symphonic band and choir will be in concert Tuesday, April 2 at 7 p.m. in the Alexander Fine Arts Center’s Main Auditorium.
The symphonic band and choir will be performing selections from their upcoming recruitment tour. Pieces that will be featured are, “Mars” by Gustav Holst and a piece that will feature three trumpet students (Josh Phipps, Cody Boone, and Dave Lanter) called, “Bugler’s Holiday.” The band and choir will also be performing a “Captain America” set which will include the march from the film and the song, “Star Spangled Man.”
They will be holding a repeat performance of this show at Tamarack in Beckley Thursday, April 4 at 2p.m.
This concert will help the band and choir raise money for their upcoming trip to Williamsburg, Va. from April 4-7. Donations will be accepted for admission to the concert.
