Constitution Day Observance Planned At Concord University
ATHENS, W.Va. – As part of Concord University’s observance of Constitution Day, the Division of Social Sciences will host a symposium on Tuesday, Sept. 17 to discuss several recent Supreme Court decisions. The program will begin at 7 p.m. in the Pais Family Fellowship Hall in University Point.
West Virginia Delegate John Shott and Paul Sheridan, interim executive director of the WV ACLU, will lead a dialogue on last term’s decisions on the Voting Rights Act, the Defense of Marriage Act, and California Proposition 8. Dr. Sally Howard, associate professor of political science, will moderate.
