SPOOKTACULAR BRINGS HALLOWEEN TO CONCORD UNIVERSITY
ATHENS, W.Va. - The Concord University Music Department will be hosting their annual Spooktacular event on Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Alexander Fine Arts Center’s Main Auditorium. Spooktacular is a Halloween celebration the music department throws every year to raise funds for their program.
People who are in attendance can expect to find themselves amongst others dressing up for the holiday. There will be a costume contest for adults as well as a costume contest for children featuring prizes for first, second, and third place. After the costume contests, those in attendance have the opportunity to walk through the haunted halls of the Alexander Fine Arts Center to test their bravery.
Concord University’s Concert Band, ConChords, music faculty, and music students will be providing the soundtrack of the night. The concert and costume contests will start at 7 p.m. followed by the haunted hall.
Admission for the event is $5 and all proceeds go to Concord’s music department. One ticket gains you access to the haunted hall, concert, and other festivities that will be happening throughout the evening. To reserve tickets in advance, go to Concord’s Box Office in the Alexander Fine Arts Center which is located to the left of the Main Auditorium. To reserve tickets in advance by phone or for more information, contact the Box Office at 304-384-5101. Tickets can also be purchased at the Box Office on the night of the event.
