CONCORD UNIVERSITY THEATRE TO PERFORM ‘ANIMAL TALES’
ATHENS, W. Va. – Concord University’s Theatre Department will be performing Don Nigro’s “Animal Tales” Wednesday, Nov. 11 through Saturday, Nov. 14 at 7 p.m. in the H.C. Paul Theatre. The theatre is located inside the Alexander Fine Arts Center on Concord University’s main campus in Athens.
“Animal Tales” is a series of eleven small monologues and dialogue pieces about the human side of animals. In the past few years the Concord University Theatre Department has showcased productions about animals to raise awareness for their annual pet food drive every fall semester.
“Animals are more human than society gives them credit for. They worry about surviving for the day rather than passing a French test,” says cast member Kayla Jordan.
General admission is one pet item such as canned or dry food, towels, leashes, bleach, brooms and dustpans, which will be donated to the Mercer County Animal Shelter. Due to special staging restrictions, audience numbers for “Animal Tales” are limited and reservations are strongly recommended.
Reservations can be made online through www.cuboxoffice.com or by calling the Concord University Box Office at 304-384-5101. Tickets can be picked up before the show at the Concord University Box Office located in the Alexander Fine Arts Center. Reservations are released at 6:45 p.m. each night prior to the show.
