BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Concord University Jazz Ensemble will be making their way to Tamarack on Sunday, Feb. 21 for a performance from 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

The Jazz Ensemble meets twice a week with their director Dr. David Ball and practices various styles of jazz music. The ensemble has an exciting list of music that they are ready to play at Tamarack. They will be presenting pieces such as “On Green Dolphin Street,” “Stella by Starlight” and “Blue Rondo.”

The Jazz Ensemble has represented Concord University’s music department by performing at several venues and public schools across West Virginia and Virginia including Pipestem Resort State Park and The Greenbrier.

Tamarack’s Event Director Kelly Elkins states, “We love working with all of the music departments in colleges and universities. It’s very nice to bring Concord University to us.”

Tamarack offers free concerts every Sunday at 2 p.m. so there is no admission fee for this concert. Everyone is welcome to attend. For more information, contact Dr. David Ball at dball@concord.edu or the Concord University Box Office at 304-384-5101.
