CONCORD UNIVERSITY JAZZ ENSEMBLE TO PERFORM J.A.M.S. CONCERT
ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University Jazz Ensemble will present another J.A.M.S. or Jazz at the Monday Spot concert on Feb. 15, 2016 from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Subway Sides which is located on the bottom floor of the Jerry and Jean Beasley Student Center on Concord’s Athens, W.Va. campus.
The jazz ensemble will perform various musical standards like “On Green Dolphin Street” and “Blue Rondo.” Dr. David Ball, Professor of Music and Director of the Jazz Ensemble, says, “These performances provide an opportunity for the jazz ensemble to showcase the music they’ve been working on in class.”
The concerts are informal and participation by attendees is both welcomed and encouraged. “Please come sing, dance, socialize, eat your dinner and/or study while you watch and listen,” Ball said.
These concerts are free and open to public. Concord students, faculty and staff, along with members of the community are invited to attend. For more information, contact Dr. David Ball at (304) 384-6090 or email at email@example.com
