FULBRIGHT SCHOLAR VISITING CONCORD UNIVERSITY
ATHENS, W.Va. – Dr. Vinod Joseph, Fulbright Scholar in Residence at Morgan State University in Baltimore, will be visiting Concord University March 8, 2016, as part of Bluefield State College’s Windows on the World Lecture Series.
Concord’s Pi Sigma Alpha will be hosting Dr. Joseph in Room 320 of the Administration Building from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Dr. Joseph will be discussing U.S. – India relations and, time permitting, terrorism in South Asia.
As professor of political science and chair of the political science department at Bangalore University, India, Dr. Joseph focuses his scholarly research and publications on United States - India relations, U.S. policy towards South Asia, nuclear issues with particular focus on South Asia, South Asian security issues, American foreign policy / Indian foreign policy and political theory.
Dr. Joseph will be visiting other area institutions through March 9.
Dr. Joseph’s visit is funded by the Fulbright Outreach Lecture Fund, an activity of the U.S. Department of State which is managed by the Council of International Exchange of Scholars, a subsidiary of the New York-based Institute for International Education. This project is also being presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Humanities Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
