ATHENS, W.Va. – The Monday Spot will be jamming again on April 4, 2016 as the Concord University Jazz Ensemble performs. Jazz at the Monday Spot (J.A.M.S.) will be from 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Subway Sides which is located on the bottom floor of the Jerry and Jean Beasley Student Center on Concord’s Athens, W.Va. campus.

The jazz ensemble will perform a couple pop songs by The Beatles and a special tribute to the late David Bowie. Dr. David Ball, Professor of Music and Director of the Jazz Ensemble, says, “J.A.M.S. is going to be featuring something new and the audience should like the songs we chose.”

The concerts are informal and participation by attendees is both welcomed and encouraged. “Please come sing, dance, socialize, eat your dinner and/or study while you watch and listen,” Ball said.

These concerts are free and open to public. Concord students, faculty and staff, along with members of the community, are invited to attend. For more information, contact Dr. David Ball at (304) 384-6090 or email at
