Concord University To Host Appalachian Ensemble Concert

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University will be hosting the Appalachian Ensemble Concert on Nov. 15, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the gallery of the Alexander Fine Arts Center on Concord’s Athens, W.Va. campus.

There will be a variety of instruments used and guests can look forward to performances such as: “Boil the Cabbage,” “Old Dan Tucker,” “Old Joe Clark,” “Angelina Baker,” “Blackberry Blossom,” “Shenandoah,” “Whiskey Before Breakfast,” and a popular hymn “I’ll Fly Away” along with other selections.

The Appalachian Ensemble Concert will be featuring students Zach Alvis, Chris Cook, James Hart, McKayla Phillips, Keri Svendsen, as well as community members (including alumni and staff) Dick Bashman, Louie Boyd, Paige Fox, Dan Fitzpatrick, Madalyn Jarrett, Krysta Johnson, Caeli Massey, and Marc Plummer.
