ATHENS, W.Va. – Award-winning photographer Melvin Grubb will visit Concord University on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017 with an exhibit of his photographs taken while he was serving in the United States Army during World War II.


Grubb, a native of Bluefield, W.Va., will also share stories from his time in the military. He was drafted as an 18-year-old and served in the Pacific.


The program will be held from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Marsh Library. There is no admission charge and the general public is invited to join the Concord campus community in attending the event.


The Concord University Student Veterans Association is hosting Grubb’s visit to Concord.
