CONCORD UNIVERSITY BONNER SCHOLARS

 HOSTING VOTER REGISTRATION TABLE

ATHENS, W. Va. - Concord University Bonner Scholars will be hosting a voter registration table on the ground floor of the Jean and Jerry L. Beasley Student Center from October 10 to October 12. The table will be set up from 11a.m. until 2p.m. each day. It is free and open to the public.

The table will be hosted by volunteer Bonner students as well as the Bonner graduate assistant, Sarah Fancher. There will be multiple laptops at the table with direct access to the Secretary of State’s webpage where any West Virginia resident can register to vote, regardless of party affiliation.

If already registered to vote, students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the community, will have the ability to switch party affiliations at the table if they wish. There will also be more information at the table about voting and other civil rights sponsored by Southern Poverty Law Center, also known as SPLC On Campus.

The deadline for any West Virginia resident to register to vote, whether registering at the table, online, or through the mail, in order to be able to take part in the upcoming election is October 16.

For more information about this event, please contact Kathy Ball, director of the Bonner Scholars Program, at 304-384-6009 or bonner@concord.edu. You can also visit the Secretary of State’s webpage at https://ovr.sos.wv.gov/Register/Landing#Qualifications.
