CONCORD UNIVERSITY PARTICIPATING IN
COLLEGE APPLICATION AND EXPLORATION WEEK
ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord University is participating in College Application and Exploration Week, Nov. 5-9. The annual celebration is coordinated by the College Foundation of West Virginia (CFWV), a partnership of the Higher Education Policy Commission, the Community and Technical College System (CTCS) and the West Virginia Department of Education.
During the week, more than 100,000 students representing 420 schools across West Virginia are learning about education following graduation from high school.
On Monday Concord University welcomed visitors from Bluefield Intermediate School and on Wednesday, students from Shady Spring and Bluefield high schools will be on campus. Thursday’s agenda includes a visit by students from Mingo Central and participants in CU’s Science Visitation Day. Students from Lincoln County High School and those on campus for Theatre Spotlight Day will be at Concord on Friday.
According to the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, “the event helps students explore options for education and training beyond high school as appropriate for their grade level.”
