Greenbrier CFO to Speak at Concord, Monday, March 18

Athens, W.Va. - Larry Mazey, chief financial officer of the Greenbrier Resort, White Sulphur Springs, will be speaking 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2002 in the Main Theater of the Alexander Fine Arts Center.

Mazey graduated from Concord College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and a major in accounting and is speaking as part of the College’s Distinguished Alumni Speaker series.

Mazey proudly served his country with a stint in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and filled numerous accounting positions with Edwards and Company, Bendix Environmental Process Instruments, and Engineering Research Incorporated. He has been at The Greenbrier since 1984 where he began his career as assistant controller, and then served as director of accounting and director of finance. He assumed his current position of CFO in 2001.

He is a member of the International Association of Hospitality Accountants, Phi Beta Lambda at Concord College, and serves on the board of the Southern Innkeepers Association. He is also a member of the Concord College Alumni Association and the First Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs and serves on the Concord College Foundation Board of Trustees.
