Biography

Mr. Rafael Castañeda-Saldaña is an Instructor in the Biology department in the College of Science, Mathematics and Health. His research interest focuses on symbiotic plant-microbe interactions, specifically the beneficial impacts and their application in agriculture. His research encompasses beneficial microbes involved with crops used for biofuels, forage, and agricultural food crops. His focus is on the formation of the plant-microbe symbiosis as well as the beneficial impacts provided by the symbionts. lastly the use of plants as biomarkers for water quality.
