What degrees can I earn at Concord University?

Concord offers over 70 majors, minors and programs of study. Each program falls under one of two colleges: the College of Professional and Liberal Studies or the College of Science, Mathematics, and Health.

Is there an application deadline?

No, applications will be taken into consideration on a rolling admissions bases. Students are encouraged to apply early so that the University can properly prepare for their arrival.

What high school credits are required as an incoming freshman?

  • 4 English (including grammar, composition and literature)
  • 3 Social Studies (including U.S. history)
  • 4 Mathematics (three units must be Algebra I and higher)
  • 3 Science (all courses to be college preparatory and each course to include a laboratory. Courses might include biology, chemistry, physics, etc.)
  • 1 Art
  • 2 Foreign Language (Two units of the same foreign language)

What are the minimum GPA and test score requirements to be admitted to Concord University?

Normally, first-Year applicants must have at least a 2.0 grade-point average and either a composite ACT score of 18 or a combined SAT score of 960. Concord does not require students to take the optional written component of the ACT examination. However, as a result of concerns over Covid-19, the standardized test requirement will be waived for admissions purposes for fall 2023 applicants.

Is there an application fee?

At the undergraduate level there is no fee to apply. At the graduate level there is a $30 application fee.

Is financial aid available?

Yes! We offer more than $23 million in scholarships and financial aid, and more than 98 percent of our freshmen receive some level of support. Scholarships are available in academics, athletics and performing arts. Click here to visit Financial Aid.

What is the criteria for Institutional scholarships?

First-year recipients must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA and a minimum score of 18 ACT or 960 SAT. Transfer students must have a GPA of at least a 2.75.

Does Concord University offer student housing?

About 700 students live in three residence halls featuring community living areas and suites. All residential housing facilities are wired for Internet. Lounges and public areas are also hot spots for wireless connections. Housing facilities include Wilson (210 co-ed students), North and South Towers (330 male students in South Tower and 330 female students in North Tower), and Mill Street (22 co-ed students) Residence Halls. The Office of Housing and Residence Life offers special housing areas including substance free and Greek floors. Residence Halls include study lounges, television lounges, kitchens and laundry facilities.

Are freshmen allowed to have cars on campus?

Does Concord University provide Health Services to students?

Yes. The well-being of our student body is important at Concord University. In fall 2019 we opened a new Health Center right on campus, which will make health care more accessible to all students.

Does Concord University offer a variety of food options for students?

Concord University dining services are provided by Aramark Higher Education located in the Jean and Jerry L. Beasley Student Center. The Libby Alvis Dining Hall is conveniently located on the main floor of the Student Center. You can find Subway, Food Lab, and a café featuring Starbucks coffee on the first floor of the Student Center. The Dining Services offers three different meals plans for residential and commuter students. All students may sign up for a meal plan online after fees have been assessed.
