Department of Health Sciences
Welcome to the Department of Health Sciences at Concord University. Health Sciences is a broad term that includes numerous fields and careers that all contribute to improving individual and community health. If you are interested in working in a field that helps people live longer with higher quality of life, we have several options for your education. Please take a look at our undergraduate and growing graduate options within the department. We can help you explore your options and achieve your goals in the healthcare field.
The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences provides an excellent foundation for students who want to continue to professional school such as Medical School, Physician Assistant, or Physical Therapy. It is also an excellent degree for entry level healthcare jobs.
The Bachelor of Science in Wellness Education prepares teachers who will work on the front lines in K-12 settings, helping students gain knowledge and skills in preventative health that they will carry with them throughout the rest of their lives.
We are currently developing a Master in Physician Assistant Studies (PA). Students in this program will begin in August of 2025. We have a fast track option for undergraduate students CU students to enter the PA program early.
Finally, our Master of Arts in Health Promotion is a fully online graduate program that enables individuals to complete a graduate degree in 1 or 2 years.
