Miranda Basconi ‘19

Miranda Basconi earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Geosciences and Psychology and now serves as an environmental geologist with Stantec in its Bluefield, VA regional office. She achieved professional licensure as a geologist in Virginia in 2025 after successfully completing the rigorous ASBOG examinations while gaining industry experience. Recognized for her impact, she received Stantec’s “Making a Difference Award” for her work remediating abandoned brownfields across Virginia and West Virginia and was honored with the 2025 West Virginia Brownfields Award for New Professional. While at Concord, she conducted undergraduate research presented at national conferences hosted by the Geological Society of America, reflecting her early commitment to advancing environmental science and community-focused solutions.
