CONCORD THEATRE DEPARTMENT PRESENTS “THE THANKSGIVING PLAY”

ATHENS, W.Va. – The Concord University Theatre Department presents “The Thanksgiving Play” on November 9-12. All shows begin at 7 PM, except the Sunday matinee which is at 2 PM in the H.C. Paul Theatre. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door.

SYNOPSIS: Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa FastHorse’s wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of terminally “woke” teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month.

The cast includes Sarah Angell, Aaron Sudderth, Ariana Mooney, Jordan Simpson, Maggie McAllister, Ryan Johnson, Alexis Hall, Michael Simmons, Riley Bower, Jad Mahfouz, Benjamin Bailey, Julie Prince, and Rylee Harshbarger. Serving as Stage Manager is Allison Dawson, and Assistant Stage Manager is Zoey Shamblin.

For more information, contact Logan Reagan, Assistant Professor of Theatre at 304-384-5259 or lreagan@concord.edu.
