Department of Biology Scholarships

The following scholarships are available for biology majors. Click the link to the right to complete the application form.​

Applicants must be full-time undergraduate student attending Concord University and a declared major in Biology.​​

  • Mercer County resident​
  • 3.5 GPA or higher​
  • Demonstrate financial need​
  • Pursuing career in health profession​
  • Academically talented​
  • Outstanding student ​
  • Sophomore or higher​
  • Pursuing science or medicine​
  • WVSOM bound preferred if awarded to pre-med student​
  • Maintain cumulative 3.0 GPA at time of award and throughout​
  • Recommendation from two College of Science, Mathematics, and Health faculty members
  • Junior or Senior ​
  • Demonstrates academic promise ​
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75​​

Preference given to Wyoming East HS graduated followed by Wyoming County resident

  • Resident of Mercer, McDowell or Monroe counties in WV​
  • Or resident of Wythe, Smyth, Washington, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, Buchanan, Dickenson or Tazwell counties in VA​
  • References (two teachers, counselors and/or principal) to attest to the candidate’s character and academic potential​
  • Candidate must agree to matriculate at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA upon graduation from CU​
  • Must remain in good academic standing and stay in good standing with the university​
  • 3.0 GPA​
  • Must have completed Freshman year of college with 24 hours and a 2.5 GPA​
  • Demonstrate financial need​
