Lockart, Jason

Jason Lockart grew up in New Jersey in a family grounded in arts education, where music and creativity were part of everyday life. He performed in choirs, marching band, and theater groups, eventually touring as a guitar tech for Electric Light Orchestra while also writing and performing his own music.

After moving to Beckley, West Virginia, he founded a successful marketing company, producing video content and brand strategies for clients across the state for over 12 years.

Jason is the co-founder and creative director of Limelight Productions, a nonprofit focused on teen and family-oriented arts programming, and the co-founder and former creative director of WVCollective, both dedicated to enriching the arts in Southern West Virginia. He regularly directs plays and musicals that create accessible opportunities for community involvement in the performing arts.

He now brings his creative and strategic expertise to Concord University, helping strengthen the university’s brand and marketing initiatives.
