Biography

I was born and raised in Mercer County, West Virginia. I attended elementary school here in Athens and graduated from PikeView High School. I received a bachelor of science in biology from Concord and then went to medical school at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. While in medical school I was involved with the Rural Health Initiative which enriched the education of students with an interest in rural medicine. I also traveled on several medical mission trips to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Ecuador, & Peru with WVSOM’s chapter of Christian Medical & Dental Association, of which I was president from 2013-2014. I completed my family medicine residency at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center where I was chief resident from 2018-2019. I then returned to Athens and practiced Family Medicine and served as Medical Director at Athens Medical Center until 2023. I am now pursuing a new opportunity within the Veterans Affairs Medical Center to provide care to the men and women who served our country. I am board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy. I continue to live in my hometown of Athens and serve on Town Council, Athens Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors, Concord University Alumni Association Council, Athens Lion’s Club, WVSOM Alumni Association Board and as a WVSOM student preceptor. One of my many passions is medical education and I am very excited to participate in Concord’s Physician Assistant Program.
