Program Information

Concord’s Computer Information major is an undergraduate on-campus program designed to be completed in four years. Courses are primarily offered in-person, although a few courses are offered online. Students complete a year-long Capstone sequence in their final year to design a team project.

Core classes prepare students for a wide variety of careers and graduate schools. Students choose one of five concentrations in which to specialize:

  • Accounting and Control
  • Geospatial Science
  • Information Technology
  • Management
  • Web

Concord’s curriculum is designed to give students a thorough understanding of computers; the physics of the hardware, the underlying mathematical principles; and the creation of software solutions. The curriculum’s design is guided by recommendations from the Association of Computing Machinery and the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
