Program Information

The Environmental Geosciences program at Concord offers unique outdoor field experiences and mini-research opportunities in most courses. Our labs hold award-winning research equipment, as well as GIS/geospatial software. Through National Science Foundation grants, students are offered significant employment and research opportunities. As an Environmental Geoscience student, you are eligible for SEAM Scholars program.

Our coursework leads to licensure as a professional geologist, offering in-demand careers with:

  • Consulting and Engineering firms
  • Government science agencies
  • Traditional and green energy companies
  • Mineral resource companies
  • Hydrology and groundwater resource firms
