CONCORD UNIVERSITY PRESENTS TALES OF THE ANIMALS

ATHENS, W.Va. – Concord personnel from across various university departments are coming together to present a collaborative artistic experience!

On Thursday, April 27 at 7 p.m. in the H.C. Paul Studio Theater in the Alexander Fine Arts Center, the community is invited to join us for a collaborative musical and narrative performance of Sergei Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf and Camille Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals, accompanied by visual art inspired by these works.

Narration will be performed by Dr. Anthony G. Patricia, associate professor of English and Dr. Gabriel Rieger, professor of English. Dr. Jacob Womack, Joseph F. Marsh endowed associate professor of music, and Dr. Sheila Barnhart Womack, director of student success, will accompany the narration with piano music.

Throughout the performance, art created by Kevin Bennington, associate professor of art; James Biggs, professor of art and gallery director; and Chase Bowman, assistant professor of art will be incorporated on screens.

There is no cost to attend; however, seating is limited. Please RSVP using the following link: https://apply.concord.edu/register/TalesOfTheAnimals.
