Step back in time to the 1970’s into the flashing glow of New York City’s most exclusive nightclub ‘Studio 54’ as we celebrate the founding of Concord University.

Who can attend the President’s Ball?
Anyone may attend the President’s Ball, the event is open to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends of Concord!

What time is the event?
VIP Admission begins at 5:30pm
General Admission begins at 7:00pm
The event ends at 9:00pm

Where is the event held?
The event is held on Concord University’s Athens campus in the Jean & Jerry Beasley Student Center in the Ballroom on the third floor. Upon entrance to the building take the stairs up to the next floor where the Ballroom is located.

Will I need a physical ticket to attend?
No. Once you have registered and paid online your registration is recorded on our guest list. There will be a check-in table at the event where your name will be checked off the list for admittance into the event.

What is the entertainment for the evening?
Award Winning Performance DJ Nick Scott will be creating a unique high energy atmosphere for this year’s President’s Ball. He has opened for or in support of artists such as Flo Rida, Salt N Pepa, Earth Wind & Fire, Blake Shelton, and more. He’s a syndicated Mix-Show DJ featured globally on various SiriusXM channels.

Can I purchase tickets at the door?
VIP Admission ticket option – no, this ticket option must be reserved online in advanced.
General Admission ticket option – yes, you may purchase these tickets at the door but we highly encourage guests to purchase these tickets in advance.

What is the menu for dinner?
Appetizer: Charcuterie Board for each table, select cheeses, dry salamis, fruit, figs, and other festive items.
Salad: Classic Iceberg Wedge with Maytag Bleu Cheese
Entrée: Grilled Filet Mignon Oscar, 6oz filet topped with lump crab, asparagus and hollandaise, on a toasted crouton

Is there a seating chart for dinner?
No, there will be no seating chart for this year’s event.

What is included in my ticket?
For VIP Admission ticketholders: Full access to the event. Enjoy a formal dinner, the entertainment portion of the evening featuring Performance DJ Nick Scott, unlimited access to the professional photo booth, multiple photo ops, refreshments and sweets bar, themed drinks and cash bar. VIP Admission to the event begins at 5:30pm.

For General Admission ticketholders: Enjoy the entertainment portion of the evening featuring Performance DJ Nick Scott, unlimited access to the professional photo booth, multiple photo ops, refreshments and sweets bar, themed drinks and cash bar. General Admission to the event begins at 7:00pm.

Guests will also receive a pair of ‘Disco Vision’ glasses for the dance floor.

What is the dress code for the event?
We recommend ‘Disco Formal’ attire – have fun with your outfits, just keep in mind this is a formal event.

Is the cash bar cash only?
Yes. The cash bar will not accept credit or debit cards. However, there is an ATM located on the bottom floor of the Student Center. *Must be 21 years of age or older with a valid ID.
