Neuroscience (Minor)

Program Type: Minor
Program Information
In the neuroscience minor at Concord, students get access to numerous unique classes, including PSY 302 Animal Behavior (about the cognition and emotion of nonhuman animals) or PSY 335 Psychopharmacology (about substance use, misuse, and abuse). There are also periodic electives that can be substituted for credit, including The Criminal Brain (a study of the combination of biological and environmental factors in creating criminal behaviors). There are very few undergraduate institutions that offer a class on the topic of neurocriminology (the effects of biology on criminal behavior).
We also provide access to our newly renovated rat lab, for use both with classes and individual research. The lab includes numerous behavioral tests, including a video tracking system to be used with anxiety tasks.
